Our client, a Y-Combinator-backed, category-defining startup in logistics technology, is seeking a seeking a high-impact Sales Development Representative (SDR) to lead their outbound efforts from Lisbon.
This role is for someone who loves the thrill of the chase. You must be extremely comfortable on the phone, spending your day initiating cold outreaches to secure sales introductory meetings for the client's commercial leadership. This isn't just about "making calls"; it is about strategically navigating organizations to find the pain points that this SaaS logistics platform can solve. We need someone who is resilient, persuasive, and ready to contribute to a world-class sales organization.
👤 The Responsibilities
You will act as the tip of the spear for the European expansion, specifically targeting the Portuguese and Spanish markets. Your primary focus is on high-volume, strategic outreach to break into enterprise and mid-market accounts that haven't yet heard of the solution. You are expected to be a phone-first professional, spending the majority of your day initiating conversations, handling complex objections, and qualifying leads against the client's Ideal Customer Profile (ICP). By consistently booking meetings for the commercial directors, you will play a pivotal role in establishing the company’s footprint in Southern Europe. This role offers a steep learning curve and a clear trajectory into senior sales or account executive positions.
Relentless Outreach: Conduct high-volume outbound cold calls and personalized emails to identify and engage potential clients.
Meeting Generation: Focus on one primary goal: securing high-quality introductory meetings for the client's leadership and commercial teams.
Lead Qualification: Use strategic questioning to qualify prospects and ensure they face the operational challenges the platform solves.
CRM Discipline: Maintain impeccable records in the CRM, ensuring every lead and interaction is tracked and followed up on.
Market Mapping: Identify key stakeholders within target organizations—from Operations Managers to CEOs—and tailor the pitch accordingly.
🎓 The Skills & Competencies
Experience: 2–3 years in a high-activity outreach role (Recruitment, Real Estate, or Inside Sales for marketplaces/SaaS companies).
Language Fluency: Fluency in English and Portuguese is a requirement.
Multilingual Plus: Fluency in Spanish is a significant advantage for this role.
Grit: You have the persistence to stay through the hard work of cold prospecting and the resilience to bounce back from rejection.
